Ali Carter won the Welsh Open in 2009 and finished as runner-up in 2010. His victory in the rankings event last year is the only rankings tournament win to his name so far. At 30-years-old and with the huge wealth of talent around him on the snooker tour, he may struggle to win another tournament’s trophy during his career.
