Thank you, Daniel. I've suspect you may be right The ball could be an equalizing factor bringing the lesser teams closer to the tournament favourites

Messi? Ronaldo? There will only be one star at this world cup: the ball. Having kicked it around it's clear that the Jabulani does not cushion, it's difficult to 'feel', it requires concentration to control. It's not unsurprising that quality players appear hapless and uncomfortable. The only way to play with this ball is 5 a side style, quick accurate passing moves, the result is a stop start, training ground style of football which often results in scrappy games with a high turn over of the ball from one team to the other. There will still be goals, there still be teams which dominate, but the games will never mature into football as we know it. If you're a betting man, teams who naturally play a quick short passing style of football with good movement have a better chance this time round, the Asian teams and smaller latino sides like Chile and Paraguay will get further than expected. It's pretty depressing and I'm with Sven they need a world cup summit on this ball now or suffer the consequences for the global game.

A number of players have criticised the Jabulani ball. But are they right too? Isn't it just like any other standard football?
