    It won't be easy, but Stricker's made a habit of defying conventional wisdom. In 2004, the American lost his PGA Tour card, but in 2006 and 2007 he won the Tour's Comeback player of the Year award, and his current status as the second-best player in the world is proof of a remarkable revival. If Woods stays away - or even if he doesn't - maybe Stricker can take the top spot?
