    The offseason golf tournament was founded by Tiger Woods in 1999, and was played at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona in its first year. From 2000, the tournament has been played at Sherwood Country Club, at a course designed by Jack Nicklaus, in Thousand Oaks, California, and is intended primarily as a charity fund-raiser.
