There's obviously going to be a degree of pressure when you've lost five of his last eight Davis Cup ties as captain, but I doubt Lloyd would have been blamed in the review that's underway - he worked with the available players and they simply weren't good enough.

Tim Henman had said before John Lloyd's resignation that he didn't want the job and he would have been a popular choice. Greg Rusedski now has to be the best man for the job. But Britain's Davis Cup problems have less to do with the captain than the lack of available tennis talent.
